Mahlatse Mahlake Foundation (MMF, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and how it is handled, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, through these forms:

• Contact form: name, email address, subject and message.
• Volunteer application: name, email address, phone number, area of interest, and an optional message.
• Newsletter signup: email address only.

We do not collect payment or banking details on this site. Donations are arranged directly with our team over WhatsApp, subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not this one.

How we use it

Submitted information is used only to respond to your enquiry, process your volunteer application, or send the updates you signed up for. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Where it goes

This site is hosted on Vercel and sends notification emails through Resend. Both process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms; neither is authorised to use your information for their own purposes. We do not share your information with any other third party.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to you or maintain our volunteer and supporter records, and are not kept longer than reasonably necessary.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, email mahlatsemahlakefoundation@gmail.com.

Children

Our forms are intended for adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, donors and partners), not for children submitting their own information.

Security

We take reasonable technical steps to protect the information you share with us, including transmitting it over HTTPS and limiting what is stored in server logs.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
